COCO is a six-storey concrete multi-family building centrally located in Vancouver’s revitalizing Oakridge neighbourhood. The development features 57 units, three of which are two-level townhouses with separate entrances, as well as two levels of underground parking. Select penthouses include private rooftop decks with expansive views of the North Shore Mountains. A 600 SF ground-floor amenity room has garden views of the inner courtyard with a children’s play area.
North-facing balconies at COCO are equipped with railing-to-roof retractable glass panels, making it the first new multi-family development in Vancouver to feature such a glazing system. This system increases living space by up to 30% and reduces noise by up to 50%, helping residents live more comfortably in a vibrant urban area.
Sustainability represented a key aspect of the project, with 75% of waste during demolition and construction being diverted. The development is LEED Gold certified thanks to features like space heating and LED lighting. Additionally, energy recovery ventilation technology provides fresh air at a constant rate while tempering the air to reduce household energy consumption.
COCO is a finalist for the 2022 Georgie awards and the winner of the 2022 Havan Awards
