Proposal Manager

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Proposal Manager is both internal and external facing, responsible for a range of activities from contract edits and drafting, to managing the project proposal process, facilitating submissions with the Estimating Department and delivering the overall Kindred experience.Reporting to the President, the Proposal Manager works closely with Kindred leadership to lead and coordinate a proactive proposal process and deliver a professional, compliant, and competitive proposals. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in securing contracts by preparing, modifying and following up on project proposals.
  • Read, review and understand RFP’s. Gather technical or business information to draft responses to RFP’s
  • Lead the end-to-end proposal process for the creation and delivery of high quality, compelling, competitive, and compliant proposal submissions, writing new content when required and utilizing existing materials when possible and/or as a guide.
  • Work with President to develop and communicate win strategies and themes within each proposal. Review and revise standard proposal format/layout/design as needed and necessary.
  • Responsible for providing regular snapshot of active proposals, wins/losses, and upcoming proposals to senior management.
  • Ongoing maintenance and/or creation of project team CV’s for the purposes of developing Requests for Qualifications (RFQ’s). Maintenance of org charts
  • Create budget and tender package cover pages for Pre Construction department
  • Hold project go/no go meetings in partnership with business development, VP’s and ownership
  • Assist in the development of a CRM, and ultimately take ownership of the CRM process.
  • Maintain and update prime contract logs

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • At least two years of technical writing experience, and ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
  • Clear and stylistic business writing skills, with knowledge of RFP and RFQ process.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing successful proposal submissions.
  • Previous experience working with CRM systems an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign a must.
  • Ability to adhere to brand voice, tone, and style guidelines.
  • Develop a client onboarding and experience plan at the outset of each project in conjunction with key internal stakeholders, the client and external partners to ensure successful delivery of the project.
  • Work with project team members to continue nurturing our relationships with the clients and partners throughout the life-cycle of the Project.
  • Evaluate client’s/partner’s satisfaction at key stages of projects and provide feedback to internal teams to allow for proactive problem-solving.
