North Shore Neighbourhood House Phase 2 is an innovative collaboration with BC Housing, bringing a thoughtfully designed 18-story mass timber building to life. This landmark project will provide 179 much-needed affordable rental homes across 15 residential levels, fostering a vibrant and inclusive community. Anchoring the development, the first three levels will house a dynamic neighborhood hub, offering a wide range of essential services, including childcare, food programs, wellness and recreation activities, and dedicated programs for youth and seniors. Located adjacent to the ongoing North Shore Neighbourhood House Phase 1 project, Kindred began construction on North Shore Neighbourhood House Phase 2 in January 2025, further contributing to the area’s growth and accessibility. Pushing the boundaries of sustainable construction, North Shore Neighbourhood House Phase 2 integrates mass timber, concrete, and steel structural elements. The project will incorporate a centura system with factory-assembled exterior walls and prefabricated balconies, ensuring both efficiency and precision in construction. This forward-thinking approach aligns with Kindred’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and community-focused development.
