Catalyst and Care is a collaborative initiative by Catalyst Community Developments Society, Care BC, and The City of North Vancouver who are working to bring a pivotal and much needed family respite and housing centre in the heart of North Vancouver. This project is a beautiful 6 story wood-frame building with 89 affordable rental units, from studio to three-bedroom layouts, with 20% of these designed for enhanced mobility. Further enriching the community, the six-story building integrates a state-of-the-art family respite center through Care BC, complete with an Adult Day Program (ADP), Overnight Respite (ONR), a therapeutic healing garden, and 18 home-inspired bedrooms. The project will be utilizing BIM/3D Modelling process and strategies through out its design process.
